CAMP RULES

1. Students must attend all scheduled activities and assemblies.

2. Use the “Buddy System” when going anywhere at Camp Fearless. Students should always be in groups of three or more with at least one other person of their gender.

3. Students are not allowed to loiter in unsupervised areas of the camp without adult supervision.

4. Students must always stay on Camp Kulaqua Property. No foot traffic (biking, jogging, etc.) off camp property. Students cannot leave the camp without approval from camp director.

5. Students are not allowed to enter a dorm or cabin that they are not assigned (No guys in girl rooms and no girls in guy rooms)

6. No public displays of affection by couples.

7. No pets allowed on camp property.

8. No alcohol, drugs, drug paraphernalia, nicotine, or vaping devices on property.

9. All students must display a respectful attitude towards all staff, adults, and students. Any student that disrupts the camp experience for others will be sent home.

10.Students will follow the camp phone policy (see below)

11. Curfew is 11pm and lights out is midnight

12. Outdoor Music levels and noise must be reduced in volume at 10:30 pm to avoid disturbing the peace.

13. All Water actvities including pool, beach and blob must have lifeguards on duty.

14. A life vest is required at all times for the blob. If student does not pass swim test a life vest must be worn for all activities in the water, including swimming, slide, and blob.

15. Retreat participants are not allowed to drive golf carts unless they have been specifically rented. If they have been rented, golf carts can only be driven by adults.

PHONE POLICY

Camp has a strict no phone policy during all organized activities and after curfew. Each youth pastor will use his or her discretion whether students will have a scheduled/monitored time to contact parents or guardians.

Camp is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged phones. We encourage leaving phones at home in order to remove the distraction! The youth pastor, camp director, and coordinators will be available to contact at any time.

DRESS CODE POLICY

CLOTHING: All clothing and swimwear should be honorable to God and not a distraction to others during this strategic time!

  • No short spandex or form fitting shorts; long biker shorts are allowed if worn with long-loose fitting shirt that covers

  • Shorts need to be an appropriate length to not be revealing

  • No crop tops

  • Graphic Tees must only feature designs that are honorable to God

(no profanity or bands/musician that promote inappropriate content)

SWIMWEAR:

  • Girls - Full coverage bathing suit (shorts encouraged). Remember, these bathing suits aren’t for “laying-out” these are for physical activities (blob, water park, etc.) If there is a concern about the coverage of the top of swimsuit you must wear a dark colored shirt and this will strictly be enforced at camp.

  • Boys - Bathing suit shorts appropriate length. Dri-fit shirts are encouraged.

(Consider dri-fit shirts or rash-guards for our water activities! We will be bringing a modesty box of clothes for anyone who is not covered appropriately for any camp activities, including services!)

MAJOR INFRACTION POLICY

If any student or worker is caught in an act that is considered a major discipline infraction parents will be contacted by the student’s youth pastor and the following policy will be implemented:

  • The offending student/worker, their youth pastor/leader, and a Camp Fearless staff member will meet as soon as possible after the infraction. After the meeting a determination will be made whether the student/worker will be sent home immediately, or if they will be given a choice to stay or go home. Students or workers may be sent home even if this is their first offense. Camp Fearless reserves the right to make this decision.

  • If the student/worker is given the opportunity to stay at Camp, they will be asked if they want to stay or go home.

  • If they elect to stay, the student/worker will be told, in the presence of his/her youth pastor/leader to contact their Lead Pastors and inform them of the situation.

  • After this meeting, if an additional infraction occurs, regardless of the circumstances, the student/worker will be sent home. Any transportation costs incurred will be the student/worker’s responsibility.
